Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition Meditation Centers

The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) transmits the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and values (including the four stages of tantra or Vajrayana Buddhism) worldwide through Tibetan Buddhist teachings, meditation, community service, 142 Buddhist retreat centers, and projects that preserve the tradition. FPMT is based on the Gelugpa Buddhist tradition of Lama Tsong Khapa of Tibet as taught by the founder, Lama Thubten Yeshe and spiritual director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, as well as the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
