Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programs are designed for people who are experiencing the signs of stress in daily life and who want to achieve more balance. The programs also complement the medical management of illness, chronic pain, and stress-related disorders. Training in mindfulness meditation; gentle movement such as yoga, qigong, and walking meditation; and group support are explored. Shambhala Meditation Centers
Shambhala is an international community of 150 meditation centers, that draws on a wide variety of contemplative traditions with the core practice of mindfulness-awareness meditation from the Tibetan lineage. According to the Shambhala tradition, there is a natural source of radiance and brilliance in the world, which is the innate wakefulness of human beings. This is the basis, in myth and inspiration, of the Kingdom of Shambhala, an enlightened society of fearlessness, dignity and compassion. Shambhala offers an excellent training program in how to meditate.

Zen Meditation Centers
The Zen Meditation Centers make accessible and embody the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha as expressed in the Soto Zen tradition established by Dogen Zenji in 13th-century Japan and conveyed to us by Suzuki Roshi and other Buddhist teachers. Our practice flows from the insight that all beings are Buddha, and that sitting in meditation is itself the realization of Buddha nature, or enlightenment.
